CHICAGOLAND WHITE-GLOVE DELIVERY
FAQ

Designer receiving questions, answered.

The questions interior designers ask most before they hand off receiving to us. Anything not covered here? Ask us directly.

How do I ship freight to Pope's?

Once your account is set up, you'll get a ship-to address and a project reference format. Include the project name on the packing slip so we can tag the shipment to the right project on arrival.

Do you provide a certificate of insurance (COI)?

Yes — send us the building's or client's COI requirements and we'll issue one that meets them. Doorman buildings, high-rises, and country-club installs are routine for us.

How long can I store pieces?

An initial storage window is included with receiving. After that, storage bills monthly per piece or per pallet. There's no hard cap — we've held projects for years.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

We open, inspect, and photograph every piece. Damage is documented and posted to your dashboard the same day. You can pull the photos into a vendor claim before the piece ever leaves our warehouse.

Can my client see the dashboard?

You control who sees what. Most designers keep the dashboard designer-only and share individual receipts or photos with clients as needed.

Do you deliver outside Chicagoland?

Yes. We regularly deliver across Illinois, Wisconsin, Southeast Michigan, and Northwest Indiana. Longer routes are quoted case-by-case.

Do you handle white-glove install?

Yes — pieces are unwrapped, assembled, placed to your floor plan, and staged. Old furniture removal is available on the same trip.

How do I schedule an install day?

You can request a delivery slot from your dashboard or coordinate directly with our team. We block install days at least a few days out so crews and trucks are set.

What about oversized or crated pieces?

Handled all the time — mirrors, chandeliers, marble tops, custom millwork. We flag anything that needs special handling on receipt so nothing surprises you on delivery day.

Can multiple people on my team access the dashboard?

Yes. Add project managers, assistants, or bookkeepers with the access level they need.

How is receiving priced?

Every project is different — freight-line, small parcel, and oversized crates all quote differently. Give us a call at (888) 409-4772 and we'll walk through your project and get you a quote.

Do I need to be there when the shipment arrives?

No. That's the point — we handle inbound so you don't have to be at a loading dock. You'll see the receipt in your dashboard the day it lands.

What if a piece needs to be sent back to the vendor?

We coordinate the outbound with you. Pieces stay pad-wrapped and project-tagged until pickup, and we handle the paperwork the vendor's return department needs.

Do you work with showrooms directly?

Yes. Many showrooms ship straight to us when a designer specifies Pope's as the receiver. We can coordinate with your showroom contacts as needed.

How do I get started?
